The picture that started it all.
100 Acre Greens / The original vision
North Carolina.
Where the picture began.
North Carolina
A canopy driveway, cottages around a common green, gardens, horses, and a pond. The original property visual, kept at the heart of the dream.
Walk through the concept
Land, legacy & everyday life
A return to roots.
An opening outward.
North Carolina holds the beginning of the family’s story. This original 100 Acre Greens visual gives that connection a tangible form.
The idea is an ordinary day made more generous: quiet lodging, a meal with company, useful work in a garden or workshop, and room to choose your own pace.
No parcel, county, or operating address has been selected. The final land, acreage, buildings, and services will be determined by feasibility work and the people this place is meant to serve.

A shared home base for meals, conversation, family workshops, and the practical rhythm of campus life.

The gathering circle in the original illustration makes space for stories, music, and evenings together. Its final design depends on the site.
09Workshop & practical learningMake & learn
Make something useful.
A dedicated place for practical skills, creative work, and vocational exploration. The workshop is part of the campus brief; its final building and equipment are still to be designed.
10BarnMake & learn
Practical work has a home here.
The barn anchors the working-land side of the original concept. Its eventual use, staffing, animal-care areas, and upkeep need their own plan.
11Horses & paddocksMake & learn
A connection carried through the family.
The illustrated pasture and horses carry the family connection to the land. Any equine program needs qualified people, suitable participants, animal care, and a separate budget.

Take the long way around.
Walking, reflection, and time among the trees are part of the vision. The final trail network and accessible alternatives follow the land.
13Botanical gardenGrow

A proposed botanical garden for seasonal color, curiosity, and quiet walks. Planting design and its precise location remain open.

A quieter kind of afternoon.
Water, wildlife, and time by the pond belong to the original vision. Access and any activities will follow a site-specific operating plan.

A proposed cold-plunge area near the sauna. Participation would be optional, with appropriate suitability guidance and an operating plan; no health outcome is promised.

Connected routes between arrival, lodging, shared spaces, gardens, and nature. Actual accessibility must be designed and verified for the chosen property.
23Solar energyStewardship

Solar was included in the earlier campus direction. This marker identifies a planning topic, not installed panels or an approved array location.
24Composting systemsStewardship
Put useful things back into the ground.
Composting was included in the earlier campus direction. Its form, location, permitted use, and maintenance plan remain to be evaluated.
Keep the picture. Test the path.
Before the land,
listen to the people.
The next step is a clearly defined pilot at a rented venue. A future North Carolina campus would need its own local partners, site studies, operating team, and funding.
100 Acre Greens remains the destination. A dependable program is how we earn our way there.
